Paint, Stain, and Glass

Sure my husband went to Stanford… twice… and sure he has 25+ patents to his name, but apparently his true calling is lumber staining. Who knew? Pictures tell the story best.

Soon these boards will be up on the wall, which now has a painted curve:

And the bamboo divider, which will separate the reception from the open area, but still allow light is now painted and ready to be moved in place.

We’re going to use bamboo stalks from our yard. Meanwhile, the interior office walls now have glass and painted trim…

The glass design provides excellent light to the interior spaces (brainstorm and conference rooms) but didn’t cost a fortune because it makes use of small panes.

This week, the floors go in. Think I gathered enough samples? Here a just a few of them:

The final choice is in this pile. Next week will tell which it is.
